me and little fat pony went off for our first ever dressage test this morning. I felt sick with nerves and was rushing around like a loon, not a good start. I had left work at 7.30am and got to yard flicked galaxy off and loaded him, drove to oldencraig. Got there, i got changed and tacked up, as i was going to warm up someone came over and said your in now, i was like eekk i have only just got on. Anyway off i went, galaxy was a little spooky and stressed (prob because i was as well) and half way through i completey forgot where i was going!!!!, jusge rung bell and i promptly burst into tears (it was all getting too much by now). Judge was lovely and told me where to go so i carried on (still crying like a big girl) and managed to finish!!!
Went out and saw my instructor who was being lovely and told me that at least i have done it now, my reply was i dont want to do it again on weds to which the reply was tough your entered and paid for so we will just bring a caller with us.
Anyway after all my ramblings i still finished joint 4th and got a lovely rosette!!!! would def do it again, and i have to say having never been to oldenvraig before i was a bit overwhelmed by it all. but anyway been there and done it now, just got to remember where to go and work on what the jusges said.
