So a couple of weeks ago I went & collected my first pony to come home & retire. Pinky is 28 now & was my 3rd birthday present. When my siblings outgrew her she has been loaned to pony club kids but we think it's time she put her feet up. She's a Welsh Mountain Pony & about 11hands high, bred by the Frongoch Stud.

This is her now at my yard:

& her in her heyday with me at Pony Club

She's not completely retired though as she's got a really important job at my yard now - babysitting Podge, my 17hh Hanoverian who is a bit of a scaredy cat & regularly hides behind her

She also has her own facebook page if you would like to add her :P http://www.facebook.com/pinkypony

Oh how lovely for you to have him home again, lovely for him to; to have such a lovely retirement home.

Bless him such a cutey!

Do you think she would like another toyboy? ;) I still have the little 12.2 that was about my 4th birthday present (he was a baby at the time, is now around 19). Unfortunately, he was meant to grow bigger and I pretty much outgrew him straight away! We sold him once and he was such a little monkey they gave him back!

Lovely to see that you'll be keeping your old girl. :)

Oh that brought tears to my eyes - little gem reminds me of our late Poppy, same breed, colour, type. Lucky you and lucky Pinky. Does she have a full wardrobe for the winter? (I may have something to fit if you need it). :)

bless you for giving her a retirement home!

we did the same with my pony Buzz - he was a welsh pony too, but a very definite orange colour! We thought he'd have 2 or 3 years retirement, but he ended up having 12 or 13! He was 48 when he died. in fact, thinking about it, he was as old when we got him as I am now  and we had him nearly 20 years!
