My first proper puppy question!

Im sure it will be the first of many!!!

What age do they have the second injection???

I know you arent supposed to take them for walks until about a week after the second injection but is that you cant take them out at all??? Or is it just that they cant be on the floor????

They have the second injection 2 or 3 weeks after the first

Loki had his at 9 weeks - then at 12 weeks.

You can't walk them outside until on week after second vac - but you can carry them - is good to get them out and about and seeing things.

Some will have first injection at 8 weeks either still with the breeder or on the way home .

I had to take pup out and about to PC, shows etc from day 1, she had had 1st injection but not second.

She had to go on the floor to pee, I just made sure she always went somewhere quiet away from where other dogs had been and had a crate for her in the lorry.

They can't have their 2nd injection before 12weeks,but I believe there has to be a 2week gap in between injections.
With my dogs Ii was prepared to take the risk. I took them out after the first jab. I believe socialization is just as important. I would take them to places I considered clean, the yard, my friends and played with dogs I know. I didn't take them to the park. (guide dog and police puppies go out at 6weeks)I think you just have to use common sense as to where you take them.
