well what a day!! got up at 6, down yard for 7, an hour to plait (in the rain), left at 9 to ride down, arrived at 9.45. first class about 11. Ben screamed and danced his way thru it, but still got a 6th for condition and turnout. screamed his way thru the next class, got a 2nd for best lumpy bumpy. had a break for lunch. realised why he was screaming. he's in love with a gelding from our yard who came down too. never had any indication they were particularly bonded, but they are so in love!!!! got a fifth for handsome gelding and Special for horse judge would take home. she was funny about it, and we had a laugh about all his noise and fuss!!!
so, we had fun, ended up doing all four classes in hand, having planned to ride two. thought it more sensible to stay on the ground with the way he was. he'd hve gone up if i'd ridden and tried to make him stand still.
so, proud mummy, exhausted but not put off! never thought we'd come home with anything, so gushing all over!!!
