My friend wants to loan her eventer..a little assistance please

My friend wants to loan her event/top RC horse, how do we find someone suitable?

Is there a particular website that is good?

Horse is 16HH 10 year old with 3 BE points and clears up at all RC events and was on last years champion RC SJ team. She also took me SJ and HT last year for the first time in years. She wants a family home where she will be loved.

Would it be acceptable to ask for references and comp experience? Who would a good reference be from? I have only loaned a happy hack, so I'm not much help!

Does she want someone who will continue to compete?

I have a friend near Durham who got her first horse late last year but sadly a few weeks ago she had some kind of stroke or something and died in her arms after hours of trying to save her.

She does eventually want to get another but is considering loaning. She is novice to horse ownership but is a lovely rider with a particular interest in flatwork and a little bit of jumping. Not a strenuous home but no horse will want for anything with her.

A good schoolmaster would be great for her confidence.
