You used the bored word
Lovely dogs, DG will be spying that loverly dobe. I call one of mine dooley it's cool I recon
Rther chilled out lad in the last one
Dooley is a cool name isn't it. When I insured him with NFU twy sent the paper work back with Gooley on it :0 We had only had Milo 2 days in that pic, he settled in quickly lol.
Ah thanks Dobie girl. I have had her since she was 10 weeks old. A litter of 9!! She is almost 7 now. She is a Princess apart from her liking for rolling in muddy puddles! She is my first dobie and my first dog as an adult. Just always liked them. Would love to see pics of yours
Hope you can see them on there Im rubbish at posting pics.
Ooh you had her from a puppy lucky you, ive always had rescues and lovely dogs but have had quite bad issues, dog reactive and fear aggression all of which we have overcome.
My daughter has begged for a puppy so we can start with a clean slate but perhaps when Im in my dotage
What is your girls breeding? My very first was by Amazon Sound Machine who was top dog at Crufts for several years.
Yes it did work! They are gorgeous. And a Crufts champion in there too! Have you taken the to a show? I was thinking of doing a fun one when she is 7 as she can go in best condition old dog then ha ha!
She is not KC registered, but I got a 4 generation thing with her. Her Mum and Dad were just pets I think as no fancy names Kai & Izzy!
Her grandparents have more fancy names, Jowendy's Dr Feelgood for Amazon?! The Dad's side has lots of Jowendy prefixes and the Mum's side has a lot of Thai Boxing prefixes if this means anything?
I have had all my dogs as puppies except Milo and now I will only get rescues in the future. Tia tends to prefer smaller dogs, she has spent 6 years with my jack russell, so I think she thinks she is one now, she is always in the bushes with him looking for bunnies!!
My very first rescue Dobe was brown and was a private rescue, he came with papers and was the one with Amazon breeding, I never showed him and he died age 11.1/2 yrs old.
My second Fred was another private rescue who had gone back to his breeder as he had bitten someone in the family. He had lots of issues but with a good trainer we overcame them and was without doubt my dog of a lifetime. He did come with papers and did have Amazon lines but not so well bred as my first but importantly was health tested. As he was neutered I didnt show him and sadly I lost him age 4yrs of age.
My current 2 Darcy and Diesel are siblings and came from Dobermann Welfare without papers which is normal practice. Darcy was spayed and I had Diesel neutered, they are now 3yrs old and I had them at 18months old. Darcy is the brainy one and she has her kc bronze good citizen award, I also do agility with her but havnt competed yet.
All my Dobes have fantastic temperments but are all good house dogs.
We also have a Lancashire Heeler puppy belonging to my daughter and her bf and Pip is now 11months old, we are taking her to her first show in May.
11 1/2 is a good age isn't it! I am hoping she will carry on for many more years, as she doesn't show any signs of slowing down yet.
I do really like the chocolate coloured dobies, you hardly ever see any around, infact I don't see many dobies around full stop.
Tia has a good temperament. She is crazy on walk, never walks only runs in massive circles. She loves jumping logs etc and I always think she'd make a good horse as her striding is always spot on She is very quiet in the house though. You wouldn't know she was here unless someone knocks at the door.
She has only bitten one person, my Dad! She had a phantom pregnancy as I let her have her first season before she was speyed. She produced milk and collected shoes/toys and treated them like her "babies". She had Dad's shoe in her bed and he went to take it and she bit him It wasn't really her fault thou as she must have been very confused.
She is our best behaved dog by a long way! The others all being some sort of terrier are far more touble!
