Well after Honey's accident in October she has been making a steady recovery, so we decided that today would be the day that we went back out for our first serious walk on the roads.

My daughter gave us a lead on her pony; and although I was only walking Honey inhand she did really well. I gave her a bit of sedalin before we started because I had to do her legs tonight anyway and thought it would be well kicked in by the time we got back. We decided to avoid the cattle gird route and headed the other way. She managed two miles without too much excitement and her head (mental state) doesn't appear to be any more screwed up than normal; just a couple of spook outs, but nothing too out of the normal, she'll settle with time. I was really pleased and very proud, but with that saddle on her back it was very tempting to just hop on board, but I resisted. But it was a lovely Christmas pressie to know that my girl is going to be just fine.

Thanks Sueandtoto - chuffed doesn't come anywhere near- with the grin on my face on the way home I looked like Joker.

Christiamas hows your little guy doing? Hoping you're progressing as well as me.

He's doing great Deb. The wound is very small now and at the widest point is probably no wider than about 1cm. It's totally shrunk to nothing and the new skin (and hair) is all growing back normally. The way he is going, I'd actually be surprised at this stage if he is even left with a scar.

As we've said a million times - isn't skin amazing.
