She had a deep routed abscess removed from her neck a week today. Brought her home on Saturday with instructions to flush the wound out twice a day with a hosepipe. Tonight it was minus 3 at the yard and only reason tap not frozen is because YOs keep it on slightly in freezing weather.

She just stood there while I flushed the wound out, ice was forming on my trousers when the water hit and the same on her fetlock feathers. Must be so uncomfortable and cold for her but she is being so good. :)

Pontless post but just know I wouldn't want to be hosed in this weather.

Hi Tiffany I am so pleased to read your horse is home and on the mend ,reading your last posts ssanta said she would also like to know how common reactions to vaccine are ,I have spoken to the V M D and asked them to read the H H forums I have told them about the problems my friends have had , and said we would all be interested to know the reason why so many horse, s are having reactions ,they said that they will speak to their vet and ring me back . I will post again and let you know what they say.

That will be interesting info Shergar. Found out yesterday that a farm over the hill from us had a horse that developed a lump the same week as my girl. Luckily the abscess wasn't so deep and he could be treated at home.
