this is abit pointless, but any why. i rode my horse on tuesday and he was fab. i got off him and was so happy.
last night my oh rode him, he has developed a dislike to the mounting block and wont stand by it, last night he just went mad he galloped across the school kicking i nearly got kicked a number of times, after the third time of running round like a idiot i just took his tack off i had had enough, he was just looking at me saying sorry.
on the plus side for a haffy he cant half gallop, on the negative side i really would not want he to kick me
sorry pointless i know i am just so mad at myself

no not with me but i have only had him eight weeks, he gets scared very easy, he does not like to be shouted at he is very scared of whips.
tbh i am not sure who was more scared last night him or me, i really think he shocked himself

Make sure you don't let him get off with this. Is he genuinelly scared of the mounting block? If so, then I'd work super hard to get him used to it by maybe putting it in his field/stable etc. If he's fine with it in his stable then he's taking the pee when you try to use it to get on! Can someone help you by holding him whilst you get on? The last thing you want is a horse who cant even be mounted! Horses often 'test' you in the first few months - normally they are good as gold for the first few weeks then start seeing what they can get away with!

as soon as he gets near he starts to kick out, he can be mounted from the ground, but not by me. i need to use the block iam going to try a different block tonight it is a wooden one the other one is metal
i will see fingers crossed
