so... my farrier is stupidly unreliable and is now 4 weeks overdue... he doesn't answer phone etc. my horse has started to trip when being ridden, so i've stopped riding. he also seemed sensitive in one foot, and i thought maybe it was thrush/over crumbly sole... so was desperate for a farrier...

luckily another girl on myyard managed to find another farrier who could come out. he came today.

my poor darling little sweet horse has a CORN. no wonder he wasn't very foot-happy. i feel awful.

Bin your farrier & go with the one that turned out for you, he doesn't deserve your business. I cannot understand why some ever become farriers. Their customer relations & people skills (forgive the management speak) are zero. I have a great farrier, he's punctual, does a good job & if there's any problem he's normally there within 24/36 hours.

yeah I agree. Get rid of the old one. You're not doing him a favour by getting your horse shod! Some farrier's need to learn about customer relationships

Oooo PM me with who it is as ive had a bit of a time with my friends farrier who i let shoe my horses big mistake
