.....on the stable cat.
We get to the stables first in a morning at about 0545 so the stable cat comes in with us. Over the last couple of weeks she's taken to jumping onto the door and her and Sidney have a "cuddle" whilst I take his stable rug off, pick his feet out etc.
This morning he wouldn't budge from his stable. I mean feet planted and no coaxing in the world was getting him out of there. I was starting to get really worried that there was something wrong with him when the cat sauntered in (later than normal). Sid perked up, had a sniff of her, rubbed his face against her then happily followed me out to the field.
Great!! My horse has a cat addiction!

O bless thats so cute! Please try to get a pikkie to show us

Thats the problem! What on earth am I going to do on the mornings when she's too busy mousing to come and see him?! Get a stuffed toy cat and pray?!!
Took some photos on the phone this morning so will try and figure out how to upload them. They are v v cute!

My old TB had a pet cat too. She was ginger and he was chestnut so they made a good pair. When you put his hay in the first thing he did was pull out a few mouthfulls and drop them at the front of his stable. In the morning there was always a disk of hay on the floor where he had eaten round the cat. She would also sit in the field with him if it was sunny and sit in the gallery of the school when I rode. If I went out hacking the cat would sit by the gate meowing and I would have to coax my horse down the road until he was out of earshot when he settled.
