After riding tonight, as I was taking the bridle off I noticed she had what looks like a rash on her tongue? She has lots of red flecks all over it. The best way I can think of to describe it is " blood splatter pattern" (sorry, too much CSI

)

She is absolutely full of beans, doesn't seem to have anything else wrong. However the last couple of days she has had to stand in, although has been out for the last 24 hours. That of course meant she was eating haylage for the first time in a while. She does get a bit of RAO, not sure if that's relevant.

Any ideas? Never seen this before!

i suspect what you can see are her taste buds, does her tongue/gums look pale, if so she may be a bit anaemic which is showing her taste buds up redder in comparison to the pale flesh around it. otherwise could just be the haylage bringing them out a bit.
