Has anyone else's horse's gone completely loopy at the minute? I've been hacking Wings for the past 3 or 4 weeks, and he's been really good and responsive, if a little spooky. Schooled him yesterday and the day before, and my god, he is a completely different horse!! Walked into the arena, and his eyes were on stalks, made himself seem about 2 hands taller with his ears up my nostrils. Literally, couldn't touch his sides with my legs or he would shoot into canter with his head between his legs bouncing. Eventually got into a trot, and again, if ever I touched his sides, he would swish his tail, flick his back legs, and be a brute!! Eventually got some nice work out of him after wearing him down a little. He's also taken to dragging me to the field in the mornings and really just being very disrespectful.

So, has anyone else's horse had a personality transplant?

My lad does te same thing every winter.....Gets very grumpy, tries to get out of being bridled and is generally a bit bolshey. As soon as spring arrives, hes as good as gold. I think he has S.A.D.

Yep, my horse is just the same.

He has never been that angelic but at the moment I'm dreading riding him! I've a feeling though that something isn't quite right with him so he's going to have the vet out next week just for an MOT.
