Well a freaky shape at least :)

I need to get new brushing boots for her hinds (never used them before) and was trying to figure out the right size. she has quite long cannon bones so it was between cob and full...the PE full was about 3 inches off being long enough! The WW full were a little bit smaller :s So I bought the PE event boots which seem to have an extension up the inside of the leg at least but what a freaky shape for a 15hh :s

Anyone else's horse take sizes much bigger or smaller than you would expect?

I bought Dylan a full set of brushing boots last year ... he needs Pony ones in front and Full behind. What the hell?! Lol :p

My boy (15.3) needs a cob bridle with a pony browband and full martingale/ breastplate. He also has cob boots infront and full behind with large overreach boots....very odd shaped horse

I gave up trying to find brushing boots that fit my girl and that she can cope with and settled with fetlock boots.

Lucy is 13.2hh and needs a 5ft 9 rug, a 5 1/2" bit, pony boots in front and cob behind. She has a cob headcoller, But buying a bridle is always fun. I desided to splash out last year and buy a fyled double bridle. She needed a cob nose band, A pony headpiece, Cob cheekpieces and a pony browband. It took ages to find the right combination of parts to look good on her but fyled where so good and kept sending me knew bits of bridle and let me return unwanted bits. The bridle now sits in my wardrobe only been warn a handfull of times . How am i ever going to find another horse it fits :( Lucy is the Freak of all freaks but i've always known it :p ;) :D :D :D

Hows this for odd then. Both my MW 14.3 hh cob and daughters 15.1hh WB/TB eventer both wear cob bridles, martingales, breastplates, medium wide saddles and six foot rugs. One is a total bruiser with a leg in each corner and a huge neck, the other is a dainty, elegant lady with long legs!!!!!! Makes life dead easy and all our tack is black so dead easy to mix and match.

If he's a freak, then so is my 3 year year old. He's 14.3hh but has legs like a frigging 16hh horse. he's been a nightmare to break, and i dont mean his behaviour. Size wise, he was small, so bought pony breaking tack, had to take them back, get cob, which was too big, friend of mine told me to use a pony girth instead of the bottom part of the roller, did that, he grew, lost condition and then grew again, it's like a yoyo putting tack on him, am going to eventually ride him at the weekend, so if i'm not on here, i'll be in hospital, as he is very strange with his behaviour, so god only knows how it'll go!! I can do anything i like with him on the ground but i reckon, he'll be a dark one, when it comes to backing him, and i haven't hit the ground in 14 years. I'm in for a hay-maker!!
