I have a rain sheet that someone gave me, I know why they gave it away now, its useless

The other day I put it on to go out for a hack, it was very windy and it was flapping about and blowing up over his back, at one point the fillet string was tucked up under his tail.
He didn't even bat an eyelid bless him, he's only 5 and I've only ever used it on him once before.

So looking for a nice new one, I would like one that is fleece lined and does up around the rider too. Any suggestions?

btw, I'm giving away a rain sheet, anyone??

I had a nag rags one that was lovely and felt very secure, it was fleece lined wrapped round the rider and was a little heavier that others so didint flap as much, allthough there a little more pricy I found them worth it!

its not going to help you but I had the same prb with a rain sheet- my girl is only 4 and she too didnt bat an eyelid but I didnt want to risk it again-
I got a great one form your horse live- fleece lined wrap around- will check the brand tonight and let you know
hasnt budged an icnh and we have been out in the gales.

solution to rain sheet flapping is to put a 'high' fillet string on - one where the ends are only a few inches down either side of the dock

my rainsheet is donkey's years old and has this type of string round teh dock - been on lots of diff. horses and none have objected and it stays put in high winds

I've got a migraine-inducing dayglo pink hi-viz fleecy one that has elastic under the tail flap that you tuck the tail into. Fits snugly high up the tail and doesn't move an inch! Have been told we are visible from outer space in it! Can't remember where I got it though - think it was HOYS 2 years ago! Will try to find a label. x
