Whilst on a hack this morning my and mum came to the conlcusion that Lacey is a snob. We passed a very hairy, chunky cob and Lace has a good think about going past, we then passed a tb x and then a coloured show cob and she went passed without a problem. We've experienced this snobbiness before. Are anybody elses horses like this or is Lace just a snob??

my friend had a horse who was scared of big coloured cobs. whenever we went hacking, and a big coloured cob came past, she would bolt and shake. was extreamly funny.

Thank god she's not as bad as that!
I forgot she doesn't like shetlands either but neither did one of my ponies so it must be more common (or at least I hope its more common

I love cobs but my old mare hates them, I bought her as a 3 year old straight from a (cob free) stud, so I know she's never have a bad experience with one.
I've got no idea where her hated comes from but she loves tall, dark & handsome thoughbred types.

Mine is sizeist and colourist. She doesn't like small ponies and hates cow coloured ponies, she is ok with cow coloured horses tough which is a good job as I have recently bought one!

Mine seems to stare quite intently if we pass other coloured cobs (he's one too) and also he's a bit like that with Exmoors as I think he's got a bit of Exmoor in him. He thinks the TBs/ISHs etc are two a penny so barely gives them the time of day and not even a passing glance (sorry!).

lol my chestnut was like that, she hated ALL coloured horses. Didnt matter if it was cob or tb type she loathed them. She just averted her eyes in a very pointed way. I remember standing next to one in the ring and she would only stand with her bottom towards it so she didnt have to look at it. Thank goodness we were placed above it, otherwise I think she would have sulked for days

I know a little black pony who definitely fancies himself as 'one of' the cavalry - the bigger horses are often scared of all the clanking armour and huge numbers but he calls out and wants to join them!

Exmoors are extremely racist IMO , if there's ever a non-Exmoor out with my lot ( 6 Exies ) they either gather round it , back and front , almost prodding it OR they ignore it and really send it to Coventry , going off on hoolies round the field , leaving the poor imposter out in the cold !
If you want to see how vocal ponies can be , go to an Exmoor-only show

Mine is totally up himself. He's not racist, as he is coloured, but definately thinks everyone else is below him - including me! I'm 'allowed' to kiss him on the nose, but my friend is only allowed to finger kiss him (kiss her finger then touch him). As for people he doesn;t know, even if they compliment him he looks down his nose at them - difficult as he is only 14.1hh!!!!

Ron can be really funny with ponies! he's the most laid back horse you can imagine usually, and most horses will try to cuddle up to him out hunting... but if a pony comes near he goes all scowly and grumpy and has even tried to bite the odd one!

maybe he just has the same attitude to ponies as I have to children though!?!

K hates spots. He used to share a field with an appy but he hated him. The owners also had a dalmation an k bit him - twice.

I have no idea why this might be but hey ho I guess he's just spottist!

Gem's not too keen on piebald horses, dont know if she's a snob or is scared by them but either way she's not keen. There's a piebald in the field next to her who she's used to now but the 1st few times she saw him she spooked and ears went flat back at him. We also walk past a field with a grey pony in to get to ours and she's usually fine. The grey pony had one of the Derby House cowprint rugs on this week though and she's really took offence to it!

Oddly enough, she quite likes the skewbald in the field opposite, it's just the black and white cow thing i think she's offended by!

Both my big horses are sizist. They hate ponies, but only when I'm riding them (clearly out in the field they are too cowardly to show their hatred as they know they will get beaten up). I can tell they hate ponies as they scowl and put their ears back at them when they come near; my mare even tried to lunge and bite a gorgeous little dressage pony once. I was mortified. The pony completely ignored her.
