Just a rant really, my horse is so difficult and it's so frustrating!! He's tweaked a ligament and is supposed to be on box rest. I told the vet he wouldn't stay on box rest as he's a nightmare, trashes his stable etc, so she agreed he could be sectioned off in his field with his buddy.
He was fine when he was on his own but when his mate was turned out he went mad!

Vet then said he had to be box rested with Sedalin. Brilliant I thought, bought him a decahedron to keep him occupied,he looked at me like I was mad and the sod won't let anyone near him with the Sedalin.
So I chucked a load of hay in and thought sod it let him get on with it

It's so frustrating when they don't know what's good for them!!

Oh I know how you feel! one the horses here couldn't cope with box rest, so in the end we turned him out, he had a five minute hooley, then got his head down eating - that is where he stayed for 6 months (!) came back in sound as a pound!

I can't do with the stress of a horse on box rest

Unfortunately he won't eat it! He will only just eat his dinner with one sachet of bute, tried hiding it in an apple, making a polo mint cake, you name it!!
I agree I think he would be better out, trouble is he caused the injury nobbing about in the field although to be fair 95% of the time he's as quiet as a mouse
