FACT.

i love her to bits but my god shes stupid.

She took it upon herself today to trash her paddock.... (shes luckily on individual turnout)... she was spooked by the wind so i put her some hay out wedged behind the xc logs, and left her too it.

She then thought it was funny to gallop round, coming farr too close to me kicking and bucking....(i was covered in mud lol)

Then the stupid bugger fell over. Flat out.So hauled her up and marched her out the field, washed my NEW rug off ( :D ) checked her legs/trotted her up she was fine so she was dumped back out.

Issue is... we have turnout all year which is fabulous... I am putting hay out, dont mind how much she has....but the fields waterlogged thanks to the british weather so shes obviously not having fun out....!

Do i start giving her 2/3 hours a day out and bringing in?? save my field for jan/feb and saving her legs!? Im well aware its just cause its winter etc...but shes taking the p155 galloping around bucking and squeeling (i also think she could be back in season again due to our gelding who is in love with her paying it far more attention than normal.............)

What are you lot doing?

In summer shes out 12ish hours a day - winter shes currently out around 6 (my choice to bring in early)

I dont know what to do for the best...!?

The problem is that the less turnout she has the more mental she's going to go when you turn her out, which could potentially cause more problems. Could she not have more turnout instead of less?

^yes she can have *almost* as much as she wants (in at 3pm tho when im working - 5pm when not)

I do think shes bored too - shes a greedy git and her hay dosent last long....hence why she thinks its funny to gallop about (amusing herself??)

shes 5 too if that makes any diff.

sounds like she's got the wind up her tail lol. My 4 year old is out for about 20hrs a day (they only come in for a couple of hours in the day for a haynet and breakfast) and he's still pestering all the oldies to play with him.

yep trouble is - she sets everything else off

luckily they are individual paddocks so shes not running into other horses/kicking them (hence why shes "single")

shes totally full of herself :D
