My lovely girl, Beans, had her second IRAP injection in her fetlock joints yesterday. After which, the vets warn you to keep an eye out for the slim chance of joint infections or lami. This evening, I went to take her bandages off, and she was hopping lame :(:( Of course, I was terribly worried, and called the vet; dreading the worst, getting all ready to cancel my weekend away at Badders...... And....... it's an abscess :rolleyes:

Of course, she couldn't have shown that yesterday when we were at the vets :o I am now laughing with relief, not least as I also survived trotting her up in hand after several weeks of boxrest :o I guess I shall add more vetwrap to my Badders shopping list! :p And a present for my poor mother who is left with politicing duties whilst I'm gone! ;)

Horses, who'd have 'em?! :D

Oh yes, me too! I never thought I'd be so relieved to get a vet bill that isn't going to be added to her huge on going vet bill claim ;)

Her timing is amazing, I have no idea how they manage to know the most inconvenient time to do these things, but thank goodness it's not a major problem :)

Isn't it just!! Of course at least she's done it before I go away to Badders, and sparing my mother from dealing with it whilst I'm gone.
