im so soft, i seem to spend AGES leaning over my door just looking at my horse admiring him and thinking how beautiful he is and how lucky i am to have him, and ive had him 20 years - you think id be over it by now wouldnt you?

it takes me about an hour just to turn mine out as I always stand and watch at the gate thinking how beautiful she is.

Its good to know that I'll still be the same in 20 years time. I love my horse so much everyone reckons I should marry him!!!! My boss says my head is so full of my horse there's no room for anything else. I spend hours and hours every day telling him (and the rest of the world or any one who will listen) that he is magnificent!!! And that he's gorgeous and that I love him. Awww!!! I thought I was sad and pathetic and a nut job!!! I even shout "Night Babe's loves ya both" when I leave and blow him kisses even though I've already kissed him a million times!!! Oh and its "Loves ya both" because I have to tell his wife/field companion that I love her too (but secretly not quite as much!!) She's still my baby girl though!!! AND I'm the same with my dog!!! I don't think there's any hope at all for me!!!!!!!!!!!:o

i say good night too, and if he's in the field he walks down the perimeter with me then watches me till im out of sight

Yep so does mine. In fact he follows me all over the field and will regularly go to sleep on me. He always stands between me and who I'm talking to so that he can be the centre of attention and he hates sharing me!!!! I love that horse!!!!

I think it's strange if you don't think their gorgeous and if you don't want to spend time admiring them. I can't understand people who hardly say anything to their horseys, I talk to ours all the time!

ive been caught out doing that...riding along singing and chatting to my horse, then on seeing a magpie shrieking for him to look at it or i'll get bad luck...then a whole bunch of mountain bikers went past from behind, smirking at me, dont know how long theyd been there

That sort of thing happens to me all the time, I'm passed caring now. I love my boy and it doesn't matter if people think I'm bonkers. And the drivers laugh at us when I take him out with red glitter hearts and stars on his bottom!!!!

We're all bloody mad!! I'm exactly the same - I spend hours up at the yard, not doing a lot, just so I can look out and see my two grazing away. And I talk to them all the time, like they are people - nuts!!!

We are all bonkers! We must be to own horses but we couldn't live without them. I could spend all day standing in the field with my horse and I talk to him all the time when out on a ride. Once we had just had a good long canter across a stubble field so I said ' Thanks baby, that was brilliant I think you enjoyed it cos your mummy certainly did!' all in earshot of a couple walking their dog who I hadn't seen at all! They just smiled at me in a sort of sympathetic way!!!

My partner and I are totally bonkers!! I stand there talking to Athena whilst grooming her and Mark gives her loads of kisses and call her his little girl!!!!! What a pair of sados!! But we wouldn''t be without her though
