Jerry arrived with a beautiful tail, and I noticed that he started to rub it a little, he seems to be itching his bottom rather than his tail, and it just gets in the way, when he travels he sits on the back bar on the way there (never on the way home for some reason) and I have noticed that the skin is a little flaky around that area. Problem is I dont know what to do about it, I can protect his tail whilst travelling, but not his bum bless him, and he has now rubbed out most of the top of his tail (save me pulling it

) so dont want him to lose anymore

Any suggestions? Have been putting green oils on the flaky skin, but doesnt seem to stop the itching.

Help, or I will end up with a horse with no tail

I'd use either Camrosa or MTG if I was you. Both of these products will soothe and both encourage new hair growth. Make sure you are up to date on wormers (I'm sure you are but just thought I'd mention it).

I had the same problem with Dollar. He kept on scratching and he had flaky skin. So i bought some Tesco Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner, its about £1, and used it a few times at first, then once every month......and its completely stopped him

even to the point where his tail is very healthy now and has grown back completely.
