My horse is moulting!

He's been losing hair since Saturday - I know it's unseasonably warm but...!

The shortest day has been and gone, so they will start to moult. Always seems strange when the coldest bit of winter is still to come.

Yep ... My partly clipped highland is just starting to lose his coat too. Pretty normal for him, he starts as soon as the days start to lengthen. But then still has clip lines in June .... Hey ho. Thus starts 6 months of being covered in hair!

Fellow livery's mare is very definitely moulting . . . and Kal hasn't grown any coat at all since his last clip. It's down to day length rather than temperature . . . I will just have to rug Kal accordingly if we get that much-vaunted cold snap.
