Lady is obsessed by me......i know some people will be saying don't humanise your horse, but it's true. :p

We thought she was getting stupid and galloping around the field because we took her friend out for a ride, but on experiementing over serveral weeks this is what we have come up with.

If i'm not around and my mum takes the other horse out she doesn't even look up.
If i take her out and away from him, she doesn't care.
If I take him out she spends the time flying up and down the field.
If mum goes to the field while i have the other horse out of site, she keeps flying up and down the field.
If mum stays away with other horse out of site and I go back to the field with her, she settles right down and follows me around, i then walk away she goes mad, mum walks back in, she keeps going mad until i return.

I'm telling you she is obsessed.:D:D:D:rolleyes:

Anyone else have strange horses that are obsessed by you.

It's not just a food thing either, both me and mum feed her, she is my mum's horse in name but she is my horse in everyother way and riding wise. I am her only rider. :p

You cant really blame her.
you ride her, you have a special bond and she trust you and feels safe.

Its nice to be wanted but sometimes also difficult when like you mare she will only settle for you!

If i'm not there in the first place and mum is doing them all, she doesn't even bother at all. only gets over excited once she has seen me. :D

I do love her to bits. I'd bring her home but not sure i'd get her up the stairs. :D:D:D

My first horse was like this. He trusted me completely and would follow me everywhere. Didn't go batty when i left or anything of the sort, but would stay so calm no matter what was going on around him - and he wasn't bombproof by any stretch of the imagination!

Bomb proof isn't how i'd explain mine either. she is a 3yr old TB ex race horse. :)

At the end of the evening or morning, i say good bye and get her to kiss me and then she wanders off all happy. So when i leave the yard for the day she is fine, with that.

People have remarked that when they come here, my horses' eyes never leave me, they track me wherever I am, ignoring whoever is standing with them, fussing them, feeding them, etc. But since I do 99.9% of everything with them, that's not surprising I guess!

Yes my tb is the same, once he sees me arrive at the yard he stands at the gate watching my every move. Once he's in he constantly keeps an eye on me - bit like having a stalker! If I move out of sight he will fuss and whinny until he sees me again, quite cute but a bit of a nuisance sometimes. He's a really anxious boy though and takes a while to trust anyone new around him.

My stallion is the same he follows me everywhere, i had him at a friends yard on full livery whilst i was moving (been there to stay loads of times before) and he would not eat or drink, i turned up all relaxed eating and drinking straight away. so had to go twice a day at least to make sure he would eat and drink.
If i dont go to the yard for a day, he gets all stressed and tucked up.
Strange as he is the most laid back horse in the world, but we have an extremely strong bond, as i brought him as a wild 3 year old and spent months before i could stroke him. No one bar me has ever ridden him, but anyone can do anything with him to the point no-one believes on meeting him at he is entire

My arab is like that, LOL at it being like having a stalker..it IS !! And...I went away on holiday once for 2 weeks and when I came back he marched across the field, bit me on the arm, hard, and stomped off again. He'd never bitten me before or since, he was definately punishing me for leaving him.
