Well since Jerry had no shoe on, he couldnt go down the road yesterday, so had to stay in a field here, with the massive cob next door, well he only decided to get in with her and make friends, which didnt go down to well, she double barreled him about 6 times, and they were with a hge amount of force.
I honestly thought she would have cracked something, as she got him on both front legs, and his chest. I managed to rescue him, and return him to his own field, he had a few scrapes but nothing huge, was more worried about the muscle/bone damage. Thought he was best left out moving around, and was hard to see if he was sound as still missing a shoe, but wasnt expecting him to be 100% in the morning

Well he came in looking ok, had shoe replaced, and couldnt actually believe that he was sound!

some horses are amazing like that - my 14;2 mare jumped out of her field once wen lightening struck the wall - in a panic she galloped down the lane and went straight thru the middle of a 5 bar wooden gate - snapped it clean in half - then continued her panic and galloped towards her stables but my brothers van was parked in her way - she attemped to jump it, ended up thru the windscreen, slid off and went galloping up to another field where we got her - she had a few cuts and bruises nothing serious - could not beleive it wat a tough little mare

Yep that is a tough (or very lucky) boy you have there. The same thing happened to one of mine a couple of years ago and he was seriously injured. Took some time to have him back up and running.
