My horse is sharp to ride in morning - anyone else?!

Is my horse just weird? If I ride him straight out of his stable in the morning he is really sharp and silly. Like he has too much energy from being in all night.

Anyone else's like this or is mine just weird? It's really annoying.

Mine's similar, he's noticeably bouncier to start with. I think it's fairly normal tbh, after a night in (and probably dinner and breakfast plus ad lib hay) they're likely to have a bit of energy and want to work it off. Maybe lunge first if s/he is a bit too "over-enthusiastic" first thing?

Nah, if you've been couped up all night eating nice food and doing pretty much begger all you would have more energy than if you had been out wandering round a field for the day.

I normallly ride my 4 year old in the afternoon or at night ... mum decides last sunday she wants to come up and see me ride him so hopped on him before his breakfats and his turnout & was he having any of it ?! Ermmmm NOPE!
After a trot around the school he did calm down but mums face was a picture
I just don't think he liked the break in his routine.

Mine is exactily the same if she has been in. Might walk around a bit in the stable when she see's the tack, asking me why she isn't going out.
But then gets over it and is fine.
