Moved my boy again yesterday, made a massive mistake of going to a yard where they think keeping horses stabled 24/7 even if its a sunny day is for the best, and they cant possibly get their hooves wet!

When he got to the new yard he was so hungry for grass he ignored all the other new horses and was eating like mad, he was starving for grass bless him.
If thats what a week of going without grass does to him, I hate to think how all the other poor horses would cope if they actually got let out!

He's now happy and content with a nice belly of grass :)

yeah, i feel his pain, guy i know runs a yard on the same principle. His one good horse, a Lombardo horse "commited suiside" at the thoughts of staying there - he coliced for no apparent reason!!!! Cant say i blame him, my "poor" horses are out during the day, in at night, so they are never really "pretty". muck and dirt everywhere, but they love it!!! I wouldn't have it any other way, they need "down" time, not stuck in a stable 24-7. Poor feckers will prob have to stay in if the weather gets cold enough, like last year, sheet of ice over field, as it's not so dry, so freezes like mad!!!! Save there in-time for that, i'd say, and let them live happily ever after otherwise!!!!
