My horse is such a fool!

During the day the gedings are in a horse sick fied with no grass, as of this evening we've been allowed to turn them out during the night with the college horses in a huge field with masses of grass, great I think, happy ponies, one stable for me to muck out in a morning! I've just got back from getting a chinese and guess who I spotted by the gate waiting to come in

Olympic saw my car and started pacing around and calling to me to come in and stand around all night and eat scabby hay. Idiot.

I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in. I will not cave and bring him in.

I know but as of friday evening he's going to be living out 24/7 for a few weeks so he needs to learn to deal with it...............................I must be strong!

Oh I SO sympathise! Princess P came in every night last year as as soon as she heard my car she was at the gate calling that she couldn't POSSIBLY stay out at night, God forbid. Anyway this year I started out with the odd night out as usual, she accepted this with a bit of a grump, and now she has been out for a week full time - today she didn't come to the gate - success (or has she caved and realised she isn't going to win this one LOL).

He's a total nightmare! He has company, masses and masses of grass, loads of company, it's lovely and warm here(18 degrees), yet he wants his scabby stable. I hope he gets the idea soon, I feel so mean

He'll be coming in for a couple of hours tomorrow morning in between field swaps while I ride small horse then he'll be in again in the evening for an hour.......Hope that satisfies his need to be pampered

I thnk its funny that every natural horsemanship book says horses prefer being out 24/7!!!! My mare would ahve a flying fit if she didn't come in. It appears our horses haven't read the same books!!
