I was mucking the Flint out yesterday when he thought it would be funny to go under his chain across the door way! He managed to snap the bloody thing before making his way to the car park. If anyone know's weston lawns- the car park is right next to the arena so I quickly tootled after him and managed to catch him by his nose and forelock! I managed to turn him around and got near his stable when he barged me out the way and trotted off towards the stable. Having mucked out and pushed all his straw to the back the concrete was showing...
que trotting horse onto concrete and WOOOSH!!! He sat on hs bum before skidding across the floor, smashing into the back wall before lying in a heap on his side! I laughed as an instant reaction until he looked at me to say help me then!! Managed to get him up and he was was ok- just a bruised ego!
So I clipped the chain back up went to put his bed down and there he was CRAWLING underneath it again. A swift smack on the bum with the fork told him off and chain has now been removed! He never seems to learn!!

I thought it was dogs that take after their owners...?

He sounds a real comedian! Beano tried limbo-ing under his chain, so we now have a stout piece of wood across his doorway with a one-handed release/catch thing. Will try and find one online...

He he he he heeeeeee, oh that tickled me, not the falling over bit but the naughty boy escapist bit, cheeky chappy
