My boy lives out 24/7 so with it being so wet in our fields, I decided to let him have the morning in so his legs could dry and I could oil them. He comes in happily and stands perfectly while I washed his legs and cleaned his feet. Bandaged him up to dry and he goes happily into the stable and starts munching hay. I crack on with some jobs and 20 mins later hes looking over the door longingly at his field. Then he starts kicking the door and biting the door frame. I thought OK you want attention so I go in to give him a good groom (he's naked so very muddy) Nope, not having that. Would not let me near him with any grooming brush.
So I bring him back out onto the yard and he happily stands to let me groom him and oil his legs. The whole time he couldn't wait to get back out, even with a huge haynet to keep him occupied! I suppose some horses just love being horses!
