I took the boys some fruit apples, pears and a trial banana. The one I thought ate anything turned his nose up at banana, the other wolfed it down. I peeled he bit the first mouthful then I fed him the rest. A few minutes later he made a burp (often burps he's a gassy wind sucker) then brought the banana back in proper vomit fashion.....????
 
Won't be a 'true' vomit, more likely regurgitation from the oesophagus I would have guessed? Not really sure as horses aren't an animal I have worked with much in practice

I agree, nana obviously hadn't made it to the stomach, just came up with the wind, all slimy and slippery and up it popped lol
 
Horses can't vomit, it's physically impossible for them.

Are you sure it wasn't choke? One of ours is prone to choke, and does this when he wolfs his feed down and gets it stuck.
 
Nugz does this with food he doesn't like - he will take it and sort of chew it in a 'hmm, yummmy' while you're looking, then will store it somewhere in his mush and then either spit it out when you're not looking or it will come out when he goes to grab something he will eat. I have had a magic food swap where the carrot has been replaced with a 'puked' banana/orange/brown bread in one swift move :D

Exactly. I cant vomit despite the theory I should be able to so makes sense it would work the other way.

And also ewww. So glad I logged on whilst eating my breakfast. I think i'll skip the banana with my cereal today.
