My horse wormers arrived !! (Yes, feel free to laugh ;p)

Dont know if you guys remembered me posting a while ago about the fact that danish horses arent really wormed.

Well they are.. sometimes.. but you cant readily buy horse wormers.

Now, jack has been here since april and hasnt been wormed since march. He doesnt really go out here so i called my mum a while ago and begged with her to go and get me some wormers for him.

They arrived this morning and im so happy i can actually worm him because its REALLY been preying on my mind for quite some time.

(Incidently, i think jack got the rough side of this. The box arrived with cadburys, walkers crisps, robinsons marmelade (baaad marmelade here) and some other random stuff i cant find here... I got sweeties, he got wormers

Do they do worm counts instead of scheduled worming? Surely they don't just forget about worms completely?

Awwww - its lovely getting food from home when you are abroad!
 
Well, they're MEANT to do worm counts. But i was talking to some of the other liveries and it seems it just never gets done. At least.. their horses havent been wormed for a few years now

The yard owners horses are done but since we dont really turnout, she says its not really her place to get involved.

I lost a horse several years ago to colic. She had a post mortem done on her and the results showed severe worm damage from a lack of worming before she was imported into the uk and the vet thought this was a very large contributing factor. Soooooooo the whole no worming thing has kinda been preying on my mind

Anyway! hes having a worm count when the equine vet is next on the yard to collect samples, but thats just before christmas so i sneakily begged mum to send me some over.

And i got marmelade!!! OMG im so hyped ;p
 
Well, my wormers arrived this morning and I was a bit dismayed to find the 3 Equest I indeed ordered instead of the Equitape I actually wanted

I don't need Equest as my routine says they are worm-free atm.
