MY HORSEBOX HAS BEEN STOLEN

I was in bed asleep when a car enter the drive the dog went mad, I open the window and it was the police. They said they wanted to see my partner,I said is there a problem at the stables and he said yes.
I ran downstairs opened the door and first thing I said are the horses OK and he said yes but your horseboxe has been stolen but the good news is we have found it. I have never hugged a policeman before (he was a traffic cop who lives in the next village and he recognised the box). They have the guy in custody,the other chap took be to the stables and 3 of my boys where fast asleep and quite chilled. A BIG THANK YOU TO THE NORTH YORKSHIRE POLICE GUYS....

Thank you, my main concern was for the horses saftey. Just sitting around now waiting for police to release it so I can go and she what damage has been done and insurance company getting back to me.

Where abouts are you, PM me if you prefer. I am also in North Yorkshire, and have new wagon only had it 3 weeks and really don't want it stealing too!!

Best chance of having a horse box recovered after theft is to have the roof post coded in large letters and having tracker fitted to it. Also have a fuel immobiliser fitted to it.

oh gosh how lucky!! glad your horses and the box is safe.

i trailer was stolen from our yard recently and no one noticed until the police called the owner to say they had retrieved it - very bemused owner! scarier still (i was away when this happened) the trailer actually sat right infront of my horses stable (i wish it didnt but i dont run the place...) anyway it would of been very easy just to pop him in and i know he would of been kicking up a fuss as he's awful in his box, gives me the shudders when you think of them touching your stuff
