MY HORSE'S MAIN WON'T LIE FLAT!!

<font color="purple">I recently pulled my horse's mane and then washed it and plaited it over to teach it to grow on the off-side but he rubbed all the plaits out so i tried again (and again) with secure plaits but they just keep coming out! Has anybody got any other suggestions to help to teach his mane to grow over? PLEASE HELP

Hi.

Does it absolutely have to lie on the off side?

If it really does, gel it, band the top and then put it into really small plaits, and I mean small, like about 30 of them.

or wet the mane then lay a towel over the horse's neck and leave it there for a while. Repeat as necessary

brill cream... something we have tried is the orange rings u put round lambs tails.. sounds weird but they work!!

As thedunthing - plait it as you did before then put a lycra type neck hood on him. Or hog it all off lol.

dampen it down and then put one of the full lycra hoods on him overnite

ditto the others, damp it and a lycra hood. just pop the hood on as often as poss, it will soon get down!

hs mane is the same always sticks up in one area, the hood does work but to be honest i can;t be bothered anymore so just leave it to stick up, gets plaited for comp so no one sees it in its rather unkempt state!!
