If its been the same for two years then its probably fine...... any problems should have shown themselves by now if not

He could be dehydrated which will cause the concentration (bright yellow colour and possibly the smell too)

The only way to be sure is take a sample into the vets.

He is most probably ok and this is normal for him, but my horse has kidney dysfunction so I am paranoid about his waterworks.

Like MQ, I would expect that if he's been like that for 2 years, it's probably normal for him. If you see any change from his "normal" (eg rusty red in colour could indicate blood in urine) that's the time to worry.

Why not mention it to the vet next time they're out for jabs or something?

HPL - know what you mean - I'm paranoid about eyes and livers!

if it is been like this for a while and he has been ok within his self i would say he would be fine. try to get him to drink more by putting apple juice or peppermint in his water. or even if you feel a little concerned get a urine sample done!
