, i sail all summer with him, so that was my argument that won through!

I am so excited and have booked a private lesson, so he is not embarrassed. Just hope he can move on Monday

I have the exact same situation!

My boyfriend and his family are all into sailing and whilst I quite like it abroad in the sun, I'm not so keen on doing it on freezing cold Scottish lochs!!

We made a bargain that if I go sailing in the cold and grey then he will come on treks with me when we are on holiday.
Don't think I could ever get him to take up lessons though, that is impressive work wizgirl!

Ah you need to be really sneaky. My hubby always wanted to go on a western ranch style ride but I sugested he wouldn't enjoy it if he didn't have lessons in the UK first.
That was 4 years ago, he got to play John Wayne and he now owns his own horse and rides more than me!!

Well done for getting him to have a lesson but even more of a well done to him for taking the plunge!
I doubt I will ever get my boyfriend up on a horse

I have the same problem re; sailing. It terrifies me, and hubby went on a trek when he was a teenager and that terrified him! So never the twain shall meet I feel!!

I thought it was a good idea too but problem he is now hooked. Has ridden a bit before but now turned 40, he started riding my mare and a week later insisted on taking her to the local SJ. Did two clear rounds and I never get a look in anymore. We are now on the lookout for one for him but in the meantime, my riding has been put on hold since he sits there with a forlorn face, hat on and going "giz a go" !!!
