Having thought deeply, flicked through numerous adverts etc. I have come up with a wish list.A 13.2 genuine gypsy cob.Preferably a gelding but not written in stone.Solid coloured but that is negotiable too.Non negotiables.Must be kind and polite to handle on the ground and kind and sensible to ride. Not spooky.Yes I know all horses can spook. My current one has done about four genuine spooks in 12 years.I can live with that.Minimum age 10 and would be prepared to go higher.Nicely put together, good for farrier and to load and having done a fair number of activities over the years.Sound obviously. Now to find this paragon.

I know of one that actually doesn’t fit your bill much but she’s broken and very very quiet.

I want the foal by the 15.2 ID. That would be the right size for me at my age and plenty of size to take up my leg. Please send to the USA;)

I pretty much have what you’re after but she’s not for sale until I find my next horse (we all know that could be a while)!! Although she is a 14.2 piebald ?

OP I have exactly what you are after (profile pic!) but sorry, sooh sorry, I'd never ever part with her in a million years. Not for any money.

I bought her as a just-backed 4yo and made her into what I wanted her to be (a happy hacker). I paid silly money for her (less than £1000 four years ago) but know she's worth her weight in gold.

I'd gone to see her - along with another horse - as she'd been backed at a friend's yard. She was everything and I mean everything I'd said I didn't want, i.e. youngster, mare, hairy-heeled cob, pony, you-name-it! Then this little mite just came up to me in the field and puffed and blew at my hair, and that was it, I knew I'd been "chosen". I brought her home not really knowing quite why!! Or how it had happened!! I'd been looking for about 2yrs prior for my "ideal horse" and found nothing! Then I bring home this little sprite!!

Over the intervening years this little one has grown into my heart and is my "ideal horse" (well pony in fact). I love her to bits!

What I will say to you is follow your dream. Your "ideal horse" (or pony!) is out there. Yes I know it sounds trite but they will find you rather than the other way around. This has been true of ALL the horses I've had (I'm an older rider now). Keep searching for your soul-mate and let them find you - you will know the "right one" when it comes along; be prepared for the "right one" to be totally what you didn't expect!! - and don't give up hope, keep the faith.............
