Dropped her in at 8:30 and she was ready to collect at 4pm. She went in a bundle of joy, excited to see everyone! and came out a quivering mess ;-) she hasnt moved since i got her home! tried to give her some food that they gave me for 2nite and 2moro and she said stick it up your arse! Chicken from the sunday roast on the other hand! Gave her a couple of pieces of chicken. I need to take her out for a wee later as she wont go in the garden but even getting her to sit up is abit of a task!

Oh, bless her!

Has she sent you on a guilt trip yet? When Bear had his bits adjusted at the beginning of August, he came home looking rather less than his usual happy chappy self. OH lifted him out of the car, and I swear he looked at me saying: 'Dis iz all yor fault. Sod ya. I iz gonna sulk for de rest o de weekend'. Less than 48 hours later, he was bouncing around like a tennis ball, giving us palpitations! This time he was saying: 'Ha! Gotcha! Ya thort I wuz gonna plaay sickkies, but I don't do sicckies! I iz Bear De Border!'

Seriously though, I know it's rather different for the girls. She'll be back on her feet and up to all her old tricks soon. Terriers tend not to do 'poorly' for too long!

Get better soon, little girly! :)

I wouldn't worry too much about her eating, in my experience when they come home after a GA all they want to do is sleep. Take her in the garden for a quick wee later and then leave her to sleep it off. I bet by tomorrow you will be posting asking how to keep her quiet. Just a little warning, watch she doesn't try and jump off that chair she might pull her stitches.

i got her bed down from my room and put her on the floor shortly after! didnt want her jumping down, she didnt have enough energy to lift her head bless her. Well i just drove her round to her normal wee area and where i let her off for a run (kept her on her lead!) she waddled over and didnt even think about having a wee! she was more concerned about getting back to the car and back home! shes now back on her bed. She wont wee in the garden :-/ even if she is at bursting point she wont go in the garden! since we had it dug up and laid to gravel and her sent was taken away she hasnt been interested.
She has given me the guilt trip, sat here groaning and shivering and giving me the eye!!
She had a little nibble of her food! because the cat decided to have a nibble of it so she decided "if the cat can eat it, i must eat it!" she eats the cat food if given the chance! only gave her a small amount, dont want her spewing in the night!

poor wee thing.. just leave her quiet, warm but not too hot, with fresh water, somewhere she cant jump or climb on or off anything, and put some paper down. i think you could forgive her if she has a little accident. hopefully she will be a little perkier in the morning, but if still very lethargic i would call the vet who did the op for advice.

Quiet and rest are very important for at least five days;hopefully she is on antibiotics and pain relief for a few days,it is major surgery ..not to be taken as a minor procedure. Imagine how YOU would feel after a hystiorectomy ! She is NOT "making it up". Dog`s don`t..they are not capable of putting it on like humans.

When my lab was spayed she was very upset. I actually had to take her back for a morphine top up as she's a bit if a cry baby.
She was very unsettled to first night. However 24 hours later she clearly felt better, went mental, and before Imcould get hold of her she dived onto my
Bed, off it, then back on it again.
Stocked intact she was politely asked to lie down on her bed after I'd carefully escorted off mine.
I'm sure she'll be a lot better by teatime

Well she slept well, although i think she may have vomited in the night, i could hear a noise so turned the light on but their was nothing there. She is abit perkier this morn, she has had abit of food with some metacam over it and she perked up when i said "lets go loo loo's" drove her over to her wee area and she had a big wee but no poos so will try again later. the door bell has just gone and she barked so shes back to normal ;-) she just gone to the bottom of the stairs to go up to the bedroom :-0 swiftly called her and shut the door! shes now led on her bed with an im bored expression!
