My 5yo has got a blocked tear duct which is getting flushed today.

I've been told he will be heavily sedated and it's done via his nose. Anything else I should know/expect?

Going for a nice long hack this morning to settle him before the vet comes this afternoon - feeling a bit nervy but I'm sure that's because I have no experience of this so don't know what to expect!

My lad took a little while to come round but he's laziest horse ever so had difficulty telling if he was still sleepy or just being lazy lol. Was just normal.routine of making sure he didn't eat etc while coming round from anesthetic and keeping an eye on him . Your lad will be fine i found the thought of it for me was worse because i thought about it too much but when they did it it was done and over with fairly quickly. Let me know how he goes hope he's back to two good eyes soon x

Everything went fine, a huge blob of pus was flushed out. Vet said it may reoccur as this condition normaly does but that should be better for the time being. He came round perfectly well and dug into his evening Haynet :)
