My last hour of peaceful horse owning...

About to go and bring the loon home. Although he, person wise, when he's chilled is one of my all time favorite horses, the best friendliest people horse, he stresses me out so much being here
I want to ride, he's my only remaining option. Maybe having tried to replace him twice in the past 10 months will make him pull his socks up a bit and pigs may fly

He's got a few days to settle, although he will know full well where he is as he was coming back to stand in whilst the hunt was around over winter so he's not been away forever but it'll be a good excuse to be a prat, then had farrier, vet, saddler booked.
I'm going to pop the lorry and him over the weigh bridge on the way back to be able to chart weight loss, put him in the field and sit in my bedroom rocking gently....

Cautiously happy so far. He and my two ponies have slid back to their old normal. It was quite cute, we were waiting for my neighbours old pony who I look after to eat her huge bucket of mash I had him tied up and the ponies both loose and they both just went and stood with him.
He’s never been out with the old mare and she has spent the day squealing, pulling evil faces and swearing at him so was a bit worried about that but I think he got the message and is just avoiding all 11hh of her carefully

I had a horse retired with a friends and friends was sadly pts so because Ziggy was being such a horrible sod to ride and I needed a companion urgently I moved him to be companion to my other horse. So I’ve still been the one doing him every day but not here on the farm we live at and he hasn’t been ridden.
I had bought a new riding horse but sadly lost him a few weeks ago and the horse I had on loan just recently also went wrong. So I have space, time and nothing to ride. I decided instead of buying yet another I’d bring Zigs back and give it another try!
He’s never going to be what I want really want but I do really love the old goof so
