Tonight I had a lesson on Frankie with an instructor who we have had group clinics on, but this was our first private lesson
can only have about one a month though
as it was a weeeee bit expensive......but oh so worth it!
I got Frankie trotting round in an outline, soft and working over his back
he was so responsive and my instructor was great, I told her that she will find with me that I tend to be quite critical of my riding but she was impressed with me
because she could see that Frankie was quite stiff and found the work quite difficult, but at the end of the lesson I had him working in a long and low outline, forwards and swinging!
I am so proud of both of us, and I came away beaming
I also told her about his stiff back - and how in the summer last year he was slightly lame. i said that I would have it checked out again, (it was checked back in October) but after 20 minutes or so he seemed to be fine with it. She told me this:
*if, with the right work, he becomes more lame then obviously there is something to worry about
*if with the right work he becomes looser and level (when i first get on him, in trot he is slightly unlevel behind
) then it is just stiffness/lack of muscle tone etc.
I can relax a bit now
I know that we are sure to get bad days, and i will doubt my ability again, *rolls eyes* but I just have to remember tonight - and that we both can do it!
Shame I didn't get any piccies - I need evidence - but Frankie's owner is not really up on digital camera technology
Sorry for the pointless post
thanks for reading by all means!!
