Hi all!

Remember the little mare I have talked about who was abused, abandoned, then abandoned again at my yard before xmas...............
A girl from my vet course asked me about her and came to see her today to loan her with a view to buy. She LOVED her! :) she agreed she was really weak and poor muscled etc but was looking forward to being able to spend the time with her and work with her on the ground as well as riding to build up muscle etc :)

I am so happy she really seems really REALLY keen on her and loved her attitude! (well she is lovely lovely mare :) if only she was 16-17hh she would SO be mine! )

Just thought I would pass on my good happy news! :)
 
Well talk about jumping straight in! :)

The girl was at the yard this morning at 9am, mucked her out, gave her a good groom, tacked her up (which is time consuming and can be hard as little mare is a little head shy when putting bridle on as we think someone has used it as an abuse tool to yank her in the mouth!!) rode her, untacked her, groomed her, gave her some attention and love, poo picked and hayed her up and came into uni!! :) (we started at 11.15 so had lots of time for doing it all)

I am so happy! and She is going to buy some exercise bandages and boots to try to minimise her catching herself (as the mare is still a little weak and is learning where to put her feet etc) and a girth guard and all this stuff, so its really nice that she is so keen and happy to be loving her, and I cant stop smiling about it as I am so happy that this lovely little mare is finally getting the time and TLC she deserves after all the other horrid humans that have had her! (I refuse to say own her, as I feel an owner should be concerned and care for their animal!)

So yey! :) happiness all round for me! (and other LUcy! hehe)
