Off we went to dressage yesterday. We were trying a new venue so Dom's first test was very tense but the second one was much nicer. However, they came 2nd in both classes so two nice blue rosettes and another 5 points.

Sadly no pics of my own as I gave a hand to a couple of other people there (unloading, calling tests etc) but some lovely ones on the prof photographers website!

Please excuse the 70s leg-warmer look. I didn't have time to clip them yesterday morning.

He did get hogged though so we avoided the Trojan horse look!

Thank you both.

He tries very hard. We only started dressage because he grew that enormous neck, chest and shoulder and couldn't balance himself - let alone me!

However, the rest of his body caught up and he is now a joy to ride (especially given he's a headshaker too)

Wow, you must be really pleased - and I am really inspired as my little cob is also having problems with his balance and is consequently doing more dressage. I will be chuffed to bits if we end up looking as good as you guys!!!

Thanks - it really does help. I think cobs tend to be later maturing too, particularly the heavyweights, so balance comes later than with some horses.

It's not me riding btw - my friend Mike does the hard competition stuff - I just play ay home!

Thank you Puss. I'm really pleased with the pics and have just spent a fortune ordering loads.

PrettyPiaffe - you must start a thread and introduce yourself and your horse/s!
