So...I was nervous my retired mare would not get the summer (too long and depressing to mention details)
Anyway...her last chance was to try putting front shoes on again as we have had trouble keeping her field sound. Shoes went on yesterday...she is like a new horse again today! So well that I should be able to start walking her out in hand next week.
very relieved...spent months reading all the 'should I/shouldn't I posts' I desperately want her to have the summer and now it looks like she can!
