As some of you know I have a very green mare. She is a welshy and is sharp and stubborn and usually thinks everything is out to get her
well she was far from perfect today but manageable. It was her sensible tb friend that was having the bad day today! He really did think everything was out to get him!
We were walking down the road and of course he picked the spot on a corner, with a junction just around the bend and cars coming in both directions to spin and be a big wimp about something. The cars waited patiently while he had a dance around, but he wasn't going to go forward!
Now my mare does not like to take the lead, she likes to run right up his back side but won't take the lead!
Well she was nervous as she new Ben was afraid but she did as I asked and walked on! Very slowly and on tip toes but she lead the way and gave Ben the confidence to follow!
I'm so proud of her!
A pointless post but had to share!
On another note, she did confirm she does not like a horse behind her! She has not properly kicked yet but on the two occasions Ben has been behind she definitely threatens! And I was hoping to hunt with her eventually, not sure if we has the manners for it though!
