Hi there I have a five month old mastiff who won't stop peeing in the kitchen how can I stop this and also he is passing runny poo is this normal or should I change his food he's on dry food now thanks to anyone that can help

Does he have free access to the garden? Do you take him out frequently, do the huge praise thing every time he goes in the garden?

Re the runny poo, what are you feeding him? Have you recently changed his feed?

He does have access to the garden it's mainly at night when he is In thee house
And no we haven't changed his feed they have been runny for about a month now

What time do you feed him at night? It does sound like you need to speak to the vet as something isn't agreeing with him.

There are lots of people who take up a puppies waterbowl an hour or so before 'bedtime' and then take out for a wee just before bed, then put it back down early morning - this then means that they not only get into a routine with outside trips to wee, but they also don't get to the point where they just can't hold it.

How long is he left overnight? Has the vet not asked for a faecal sample yet to check for giardia? I’d ask him to do one. He may be allergic to an ingredient in the food, chicken is a surprisingly common one. It would be helpful to know the type of food.

IMHO some dry kibble make dogs drink more than others. A friend had a puppy on platinum puppy food and he had loose smelly poo and was always thirsty. She swapped him onto Arden Grange salmon and rice, his poo became more formed and he stopped being so thirsty. He was under vet care at this time as being tested for gardia etc.
