Evenin all ;-)
Ok so my horse has been coming in now for a few nights and I am at a new yard this year. I am using wood pellets and matting and finding it very good. I do however have a bad back and never enough time so always looking for easier ways to save both! I find the wood pellets excellant, because there dont waste as much like paper BUT i do find them quite heavy when sweeping my bed aside... here comes my new fav helper! I bought a Gorilla Broom last year and its working fantastic. Its a great broom but alsi had a scraper when you turn it over. Its so useful for moving my bed quickly and effectively without heavy sweeping!. Also fab for snow :-) . You can buy online for under 15 quid... btw i dont have any commission on these.. just a really good help to me , and maybe it helps someone else :-)

I've got one of these they are great, I haven't used the scraper side yet, will try it later as I normally use one of those red snow scoops if I have alot of bed to move.

There are a few on my yard with them now we all love them

I have been using the gorilla broom for years, best broom I've had, last really well too (or would do if my four year old hadn't tried to help by stamping on one). I have never thought to use the scraper side though!

Another vote for the rakes.

I use mine for poo picking in the field, and the stable and for gardening. It's ace.

I buy mine from County Shows, from a tool company. They sell all manner of hand tools for about a fiver each. The other one I use has a sort of hoe on one side and a fork on the other and is perfect for digging up ragwort and weeds in the garden!

Hi, does anyone know if you can get the gorilla brooms in the shops, if so which ones please. I have seen them online but was trying to avoid £6 postage. They sound brill. Thanks for the tip, will get rake as well, anything for an easy life! :)
