This is Bertie. He's been with me just over three weeks now. This is his fourth session in the school. What do you think?? He has come a very long way in these 4 sessions in the school and I am so pleased with him so far!!

(I know I am tipping forward - the reason for this is to encourage his forwardness). I hope you like him :)

He's beautiful, looks a comfortable ride, he looks very well for his age and experiance.

All the best with him, he's sure to do you proud, what are your plans for him?

Thanks guys :)

He is quite a mentally mature 4 year old and finds things quite easy which is nice, but I have to keep my wits about me. He is a very nice ride and the trot work is coming on leaps and bounds. His canter is not so good, he get's quite unbalanced so that is going to take more time. He should be quite a smart little chap though - I hope!! :)

I have him on loan for 6 months (with the view to buy at the end of the loan (April)). Until January the plans are to just get him going well on the flat and to get his jumping going. He has a lesson every week so fingers crossed things will fall in to place. Come January I have quite a bit of local dressage lined up for him and then if all goes well I hope he will event next summer! Lots to do before then though - thank goodness for the preparation time over the winter - never thought I'd say thank goodness for winter lol! :D

Nelson11 - good luck with your 4yo :)
