Camilla is 4 going 5, has only been with her fellow Fjords and Dale ponies as a group. I bought her and she quarrantined with 2 OAP ponies...squeel, kick butt and good to go. Quarrantine's over, went to put her out with another group in a better pasture...Sigh!
She trots, and trots, meets up with her new pasturemates...and procedes to trot for the next 2 hours...round & round, not getting near to them but not far away either.
I walk in the pasture and she follows me up to one older mare...nose to nose...squeel! and kick butt again...now, more running/sweating up/more running. They catch her and put her back with her "old" friends of 2 weeks.
I'd forgotten what a dramatic occurrance it can be introducing a new horse, just been a while since I've had a mare...I think they're more emotional about the whole thing.
My latest slice of life...and my broken arm is healing nicely.
