my new sec D mare

I have bought a 6yr old sec d mare not so long ago and when she is in the field occasionally she stretches her head and neck up and then puts it back down again...any ideas what this could be??

Arabs are renouned for head flicking.Are you absolutely certain the horse is pure section D.Just wondering if it could be breed related. If you think it's pain related I wonder if it could be poll pain or jaw pain or something similar. Probably best to get it checked if you are worried.

yes definately pure registered section D - may be poll or jaw pain!! x

Maybe she is literally just having a stretch? We all like a good stretch sometimes!!

She probably might just have a few tight muscles which when she stretches releases them! x
