I cannot believe how absorbant children are!
We took my 2 year old niece down to the yard today for her 2nd pony ride. She put her hat on (we call it her safety belt - like in a car) She didn't hesitate walking up to the pony and stroking it on it's nose!! She was eager to get on and straight away picked up the reins and put her feet in the stirrups! I asked her how do we make the pony move and she said with a little kick and then started to do mini pony club kicks with her feet!!! She was great sitting in the saddle talking about the horses etc. We got back to the yard and she said she wanted to give the pony some apples. She happily gave the apples all by her self, and the pony pulled her glove off her hand as it took the apple piece!! My niece stood there, looking at the pony with her glove hanging out of its mouth, gentle took the glove back, and said "no horsey, thats my glove!" I was in hestrics at this point!! She then went on to tell the pony how rude it was spitting out the juices from eating the apple!! Oh it was so funny!!
Had to tell you this, as it really made my day, seeing how positive and unfazed this little 2 year old was about this, what must seem like, a massive pony taking her glove from her!! I also cant believe how she knew how to make a pony walk forwards...
The grandparents are already talking about Pony Club!!!
